Compensation Coverage

Shipment Weight Maximum Compensation
1 kg – 15 kg Up to ₦150,000
Above 15 kg – 30 kg Up to ₦300,000
Above 50kg Up to ₦400,000

Terms & Conditions

•  Compensation is limited to the maximum amount applicable to the shipment’s weight category, regardless of the actual value of the contents.
• Customers must declare the value of their shipment at the time of booking.
• All claims must be supported with valid proof of value, such as receipts, invoices, or purchase records.
• Compensation applies only to confirmed loss or irreparable damage occurring while the shipment is in the custody of Yabi Cargo Ltd.
• Claims must be submitted in writing within seven (7) days of the expected delivery date or the date a damaged shipment is received.
• Yabi Cargo Ltd reserves the right to investigate all claims before approving compensation.
• Compensation will not be paid for:
  • Improperly packaged items.
  • Perishable goods.
  • Prohibited or restricted items.
  • Damage caused by the inherent nature of the goods.
  • Loss or damage resulting from customs inspections, government actions, force majeure, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Yabi Cargo Ltd.
• The compensation amounts stated above represent the maximum liability of Yabi Cargo Ltd and shall not be exceeded under any circumstances.
• Customers shipping goods valued above the stated compensation limits are encouraged to obtain additional insurance before shipment.

Acceptance of Terms

By sending or consigning your shipment with Yabi Cargo Ltd, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this Declared Value & Compensation Policy and all applicable Terms & Conditions. Your use of our services constitutes your agreement to these terms, including the compensation limits stated above.

Note: Customers shipping goods with a value exceeding the standard compensation limits are strongly advised to purchase additional shipment cover through our third-party courier partner before shipping. Yabi Cargo Ltd does not provide additional insurance coverage beyond the compensation limits outlined in this policy and shall not be liable for any loss exceeding those limits.
